The JSEF: Journal of Sustainable Economic Futures recognizes that Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and AI-assisted technologies may offer benefits in academic writing and editorial processes. To ensure transparency and uphold academic integrity, any use of GenAI in the preparation, writing, analysis, translation, or editing of a manuscript must be clearly disclosed within the article. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, argumentation, citations, and ethical integrity of their manuscripts, regardless of AI involvement.
The journal permits the limited use of AI-assisted tools strictly for the following purposes:
All AI-assisted tools must be used under human supervision. Authors are required to carefully review and edit all AI-generated outputs, as such tools may produce content that appears authoritative but is inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. Authors retain full responsibility and accountability for the content of their work. Under no circumstances may GenAI tools be credited as authors.
The following activities are prohibited:
Authors must disclose the use of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process by including a statement at the end of the manuscript upon initial submission. This statement will appear in the published version of the article and should be placed in a separate section before the references. An example of the required format is provided below:
This declaration is not required for the use of basic tools such as grammar or spelling checkers and reference management software. If no generative AI or AI-assisted technologies have been used, no statement is required.
Note: The JSEF: Journal of Sustainable Economic Future reserves the right to reject, retract, or request revisions of manuscripts that contain undisclosed or unethical use of GenAI or AI-generated content. This policy may be updated in accordance with international publishing standards and Scopus recommendations.
